An Evolutionary
Idea
The physical systems of time and space
Are evolutionary in origin.
The perfectly created Central Universe
Is the pattern for the perfection
Of the realms of time and space.
Using the Central Universe patterns,
The Creator Sons have an infinite variety of plans
For organizing, evolving,
Disciplining and settling their respective local universes.
The local universes will not be stabilized and settled
In an evolutionary sense
Until all of the physical possibilities for expansion
And development have been
Exhausted
And the spiritual status
Fully developed and matured.
In the Central
Universe, while the Father is personally present,
He is absent
in the
Minds of the children of that perfect creation.
In the universes
of space, while the Father is personally absent,
He is spiritually
Represented
by the Thought Adjusters
Residing
in the minds of mortals.
The Universal Father is personally represented in the local universes
By the Creator Sons
Cosmic Mastery
As the mind of any person becomes more Godlike,
It becomes less responsive to material gravity.
Reality, measured by physical-gravity response,
Is the antithesis of reality
Determined by spirit content.
Matter and spirit are equally real, but not equally valuable.
Divine mind intervenes between these universal opposites
To assist human mind to achieve
The goal of existence,
Which is spirit.
The Study of Evolution
In studying man's evolution on Earth,
There are fundamental problems
With using history as the only approach
To understanding man's
Current status
And troubles.
The true perspective of any problem
Human or divine,
Terrestrial or cosmic
Can be had
Only by a complete unprejudiced study
And correlation
Of three phases of universe reality:
Origin, history, and destiny.
When humans
Start from the lowest base
To approach the higher,
Whether in biology or theology,
They are in danger of
Failing to perceive
The completed evolutionary goal
Of either personal attainment
Or cosmic destiny.
History unaided
Fails to reveal
Destiny.
The study of man
And his planetary problems
Should cover the entire
Time-space journey
From the infinite, eternal, and divine
Paradise Source
Of all reality
And cosmic existence.
Social Experimentation
Man must not be afraid
To experiment
With the machinery
Of society.
Those most familiar
With social evolution
Should manage any adventures
In cultural adjustment
And control any innovations
In areas of contemplated
Social or economic experiment.
Great social or economic change
Should not be attempted
Suddenly.
Time is essential
For human adjustment –
Physical, social, or economic.
Only moral
And spiritual adjustments
Can be made
Spontaneously.
And even these require time
To fully work out
The material and social repercussions.
The highest ideals of the group
Are the chief support and hope
During the critical times
When civilization is in transit
From one level to another.
Dysfunctional Taboos Are Not Enough
The story of the evolution
Of marriage
Is the history
Of controlling sex
Through social, religious,
And
civil restrictions.
Nature is indifferent to individuals
And does not observe morals.
Nature is interested only
In the reproduction
Of the species.
Nature demands reproduction,
But leaves any resulting problems
Such as abandoned children,
Poverty, violence, ignorance,
Pollution,
And population control
To society
To solve.
For evolving man,
This
condition creates
Unending social conflict and war
Between his basic instincts
And the evolving ethics
Of brotherhood.
Only now is man
Reaching the point
Where society
Is willing to consider
The ethics
Of personal responsibility
In solving
Social conflicts.
The Pace of Revelation
Revelation is evolutionary
And progressive.
Through the ages
Of a world's history,
The revelations of religion
Are ever expanding
And successively enlightening.
It is the mission of revelation
To sort and censor
Man's evolving religions.
New teachings however,
Must not exceed
The human capacity for receptivity
By going too far beyond
The thought and reactions
Of the age
In which they are presented.
