God Within

 

If the finite mind of man is unable to comprehend

How so majestic a Spirit as the Universal Father

Can fraternize with the individual human creature,

Man may rest assured

That an actual fragment of the living God

Resides within the intellect

Of every normal-minded

And morally conscious Earth mortal.

 

God adjusts with the imperfect mind of Earth mortals,

Through Thought Adjusters.

An indwelling Adjuster individualizes the love of God

To each human soul.

 

Man does not have to go farther

Than his own inner experience

Of the soul's contemplation of this spiritual-reality presence

To find the Father fragment

And commune with him.

 

Mortal identification with the Thought Adjuster

Constitutes the secret of personal survival

And determines the destiny of spiritual ascension.

Thought Adjusters

 

In the cosmos, there is no substitute for actual living experience.

Perfection in divinity,

Does not endow even Thought Adjusters

With any ministering ability.

 

No amount of divine endowment

Can absolve individuals from the necessity

Of securing experience by actual living.

 

Therefore, in common with all beings living and functioning

Within the sphere of the Supreme,

Thought Adjusters must acquire experience

And evolve from lower, inexperienced,

To higher, more experienced mind ministers.

 

Just as a mortal child acquires adaptative versatility

For his adult activities

Through the social and play life of early childhood,

So, the indwelling Adjuster achieves skill

For the next stage of cosmic life

By rehearsing those activities

Within the minds of human beings.

Relation of Adjusters to Mortals

 

The endowment

Of freedom upon

Imperfect mortal beings

Inevitably leads

To unfortunate choices.

 

However, it is the nature

Of the perfect ancestral Deity

To affectionately share

Mortal sufferings

In loving companionship.

 

The love and devotion

Of the Thought Adjuster

Living within the mind of man

Is the most divine affection

In all creation.

 

The love

Of the Creator Sons

In their ministry to the races of man

Is superb,

But the devotion of a Thought Adjuster

To the individual is sublime.

 

The Paradise Father has reserved

This form of personal contact

With his individual creatures

As His exclusive prerogative.

 

There is nothing

In all the universe of universes

Directly comparable to the marvelous ministry

Of the impersonal entities

That indwell the children

Of the evolutionary planets.

The Holy of Holies

 

The physical bodies

Of humans

Are literally

Temples

Of God.

 

While there exists

A very intimate personal communion

Between the Christ

And his mortal creatures,

Men and women have

An actual fragment

Of the Universal Father

Residing within them.

 

This is the reason

Mortal bodies

Are actual temples

Of God.

Proof of God's Existence

 

The divine spirit

That indwells the mind of man

Is called

The Thought Adjuster

Because that is his function. 

 

This immortal spirit is prepersonal

Not a personality.

It is

Destined to become

A part of the personality

Of the surviving mortal creature.

 

Those who know God

Experience

This spirit's presence.

 

This personal experience

Is the only positive proof

Of the existence of God.

 

The link

Between the God-conscious

Human mind

And the God-presence

Of the Thought Adjuster

Is the free gift

Of the Universal Father.

A Love Letter

 

At times, advanced Thought Adjusters

Accept temporary reassignments.

During these breaks in direct contact with their mortal mind,

Planetary supervisors manage the human.

 

 In recent times on Earth,

A self-acting Thought Adjuster transmitted a message

To the planetary supervisors

For his human associate.

 

The Adjuster implored his mortal to

More faithfully grant him sincere co-operation,

More cheerfully endure the tasks implanted,

More faithfully carry out the programs arranged,

More patiently go through the trials selected,

More persistently and cheerfully tread the path chosen,

More humbly receive any acclain.

 

Upon him, I bestow the supreme devotion

And affection of a divine spirit.

Say further to my beloved subject that

I will function with wisdom and power

Until the last earth struggle is over.

I will be true to my personality trust.

I exhort him to survival,

Not to disappoint me,

Not to deprive me of the reward

Of my patient and intense struggle.

 

On his human will,

Our achievement of personality depends.

Circle by circle,

I have patiently ascended this human mind and

I have testimony that I am meeting the approval

Of the chief of my kind.

Circle by circle I am passing on to judgment.

I wait with pleasure and without apprehension

The roll call of destiny.
