Soul Guardianship
So great is the dignity of souls,
That each mortal soul has an angel assigned
For its protection
From the moment the soul is born
Into mortal life.
The soul is conceived
When a child is about six
At the same moment
The Father fragment
Indwells the creature mind.
Soul Expression
During the mortal
life in the flesh,
The
soul remains embryonic
(Though it shows a
capacity
For super mortal function
In recognizing the
higher levels
Of morontia reality).
The soul emerges
As the offspring of the adjutant mind spirits,
Nourished by the God-craving
human will,
In concert
With the spiritual forces of the universe
Under the over control
Of a fragment
Of the God of all
creation,
The Thought Adjuster.
The emerging soul
Is able to reinforce
The super material
decisions
Of its associated
mortal mind,
And it can make final
decisions
Of cosmic importance
Provided the material
mind delegates
Such authority freely
and willingly
To the morontia soul.
The mortal mind is
increasingly urged
To identify with its
future morontia self,
The soul.
Transference of Identity
The mortal will,
Having the personality’s
Power of choice and decision
Resident in the material mind circuits,
Initiates a transference
Of its seat of identity
From the temporal
Material intellect system
To the higher morontia-soul
system.
With the influence
Of the angelic helpers
In conjunction
With the Thought Adjuster,
The embryonic soul
Transforms itself
Into the future morontia vehicle
Of personality identity.
Soul Ministers
Mortal man
Is subject to Adjuster
leading
And amenable to seraphic
guidance.
The Thought Adjuster
Is the essence
Of man's eternal nature.
The angels
Are the teachers
Of man's evolving nature
(In this life the mortal mind,

Death
Angels guard the soul of man
During the indefinite period of time
That intervenes
Between the death of the flesh
And the new life in the mansion worlds.

And the new morontia entity
Of the human soul
Are held as
a sacred trust
By the guardian
seraphim.

The human identity
Of continuing existence
And the actuality

Soul Growth
Man’s soul is the embryo
Of his future morontia
body
Utilized on the mansion worlds.
On Earth,
Soul is morontian
In nature
With the capacity
For ascension
To spirit levels
And fusion with
The Thought Adjuster.
While of terrestrial origin,
The existence of the morontia soul
Is known to humans
Only through cosmic insight
And spiritual discovery.
The mortal soul is the morontia
Self,
A newborn child of the Supreme.
Lackadaisical Effort
A stagnant soul is dying.
Half-hearted effort
By mortals
Is perilous to the soul.
The angels
Have been instructed
To do nothing
To promote the salvation
Of unmotivated
Or doubt-stricken creatures.
On
the contrary,
Indifferent
mortals are provided
Unlimited
opportunity
To
express sin.
This is deemed the quickest way
To achieve the final cure
Of the plague
Of evil and sin.
Secret of Soul Survival
Tradition is wrongfully seen
By fearful
And half-hearted mortals
As a safe refuge
And an easy path
To survival.
Such people
Instinctively shun
Spirit struggles
And mental uncertainties.
The secret of survival
Is clad
In a supreme desire
To be God-like
Accompanied by the willingness
To do and be
All things essential
To attaining
That overwhelming desire.
Decision Time
The soul is the reflective,
Truth discerning,
And spirit-perceiving
Part of man.
Only that mind
That freely submits itself
To spirit direction can survive
The mortal time-space existence
As an immortal child
In the eternal
Spirit world of the Supreme.
Survival decisions
Are formulated on Earth.
These survival decisions
Are being confirmed now.
Upon reaching
The spiritual level,
The self is secure
Because the survival decisions
Were made and witnessed
To grant eternal fusion
With the adjuster.
Concepts of the Soul
Mortals may enhance
Their concepts of soul
By observing
That soul is not a spirit
circuit,
But rather,
Individualized morontia
substance
That remains
With each individual personality.
Soul is an acquirement
Attained by faith
That the person is a son of God
And by the consciousness
Of truth.
Truth transcends material levels.
It partners with wisdom
And embraces human spiritual
experiences.
Truth originates
In the religious experience
Of spiritual living.
Soul expands and transforms
With spirit growth.
It lives with the personality
As the real Self throughout eternity.
Soul is morontial
in the earthly life.
In the morontia life
It slowly transforms
To spirit substance
As the mind is spiritized
In the ascension toward Paradise.
Soul Analysis
Soul is not the human mind,
But it is minded (intelligent).
It is also distinct
From the indwelling divine spirit,
The Thought Adjuster.
It
is a new entity, an embryo.
Soul is the surviving element of the mortal
life.
It
is a child of mortal mind
And
the indwelling spirit,
(The Thought Adjuster).
Soul is indestructible after fusion
With the Thought Adjuster.
It will function
As
the person’s spiritualized mind
When the Supreme actualizes!
Soul is a person’s real self.
It
is alive.
Partaking of both material mind
And the divine spirit.
The soul is midway between matter and spirit,
Morontial.
It
seeks to co-ordinate with true Spirit value,
And
augments spirit control.
An Incomparable Treasure
Soul is
the pearl of the universe.
As it
adds layers of
Truth,
beauty, and goodness,
The human
personality (through mind)
Unifies
energy and spirit more and more.
As the
soul becomes more powerful,
It eventually
harmonizes with
And becomes
an image of God the Supreme,
Then,
God the Ultimate,
And finally,
seeks realization of the attainment goal
Of God
the Absolute.
It is
incomprehensible
How lowly
mortals
Can ascend
to such universe stature,
But this
is the purpose of soul.
The Mystery of Jesus' Soul
Just before his death
On the cross,
Jesus cried out,
"It is finished!
Father, into your hands
I commend my spirit."
The acquired spirit identity
Of
Jesus of Nazareth
Was built up during his lifetime
In the flesh -
First, by the direct efforts
Of his Thought
Adjuster,
And later, by his own
Perfect adjustment between
The physical necessities
Of his human life
And
the spiritual requirements
Of the ideal mortal existence,
As it was effected
By his unaltering choice
To do
the Father's will.
As Jesus proclaimed, his spirit
Must
have been consigned
To the custody
Of the Paradise Father.
Whether or not this spirit reality
Returned to become a part
Of
the resurrected personality,
Is not known.
Many in the universe
Hold that
the soul-identity
Of Jesus now reposes
In the "bosom of the Father,"
To be sometime released
For leadership
Of the Nebadon Corps
Of the Finality
In their undisclosed destiny
In the uncreated universes
Of
the unorganized realms
Of outer space.
