Initiating Spirituality

Perceiving God

In all of his aspects

Is the never-ending goal

Of all ascenders.

The Universal Father

Reveals all of his divine self

That can be discerned

Or comprehended

By Spirit beings

And mortal creatures

At any given time

In their existence.

The divine presence

Is limited only

By the capacity

Of the being

To receive

And to discern

Spiritual qualities.

For mortal man,

The spiritual finding

Of the spirit Father

Consists of choosing

To do the Father's will

The choosing does not

Consist in the negation

Of creature will –

"Not my will but

Your will be done."

It consists in the creature's

Positive affirmation –

"It is my will

That Your will be done."

With this choice,

The God-choosing mortal

Will  find

Inner union (fusion)

With the indwelling

Father fragment,

The Thought Adjuster.

The result is the birth

Of an eternal partnership

Of the will of man

And the will of God.

Guilty Feelings

The feeling of guilt

(Not the consciousness of sin)

Comes either from

Interrupted spiritual communion

Or from the lowering

Of one's moral ideals.

Deliverance

From this dilemma

Comes with the realization

That one's highest moral ideal

Is not necessarily synonymous

With the will of God.

Man cannot hope

To live up

To his highest ideals.

However, he can be true

To his purpose

Of  finding God

And becoming increasingly

Like Him.

Finding the Thought Adjuster

It is not

Man's limitations alone

That prevents him

From finding the finite God.

It is also the incompletion

Of the universe.

Even the incompletion

Of all creatures –

Past, present, and future –

Makes the finite Supreme

Inaccessible.

God the Father

Can be found

By any individual

Who has attained

The divine level

Of Godlikeness,

But God the Supreme

Will never be personally

Discovered by any one creature

Until the far-distant time when,

Through the universal attainment

Of perfection,

All creatures

Will find him

Simultaneously.

Mortal ascenders
Progressively discern God

Through the ministry

Of a hierarchy called

God the Sevenfold.

On Paradise,

Mortals find God

As a person.

After Paradise,

As finaliters,

Mortal ascenders

Continue their quest

To know God

As Supreme and

As Ultimate.

After having attained the Ultimate.

There is one more

Course to pursue -

That is to begin the attempt to know

God the Absolute.

Even if finaliters

Should be successful

In finding God the Absolute,

They will only be discovering

The same God,

The Paradise Father -

The final Father

Of personalities

Manifesting himself

On more nearly infinite

And universal levels.

To material,

Evolutionary,

Finite creatures,

A life predicated

On living

The Father's will

Leads directly

To the attainment

Of spirit supremacy

In the personality arena.

Such a Father life

Is one built upon truth,

Sensitive to beauty,

And dominated by goodness.

Such a God-knowing person

Is inwardly illuminated

By worship

And outwardly devoted

To the wholehearted service

Of the universal brotherhood.
